CAN YOU REALLY MAKE GOOD MONEY SELLING JUST PIZZA & PASTA?

One of the stand-out qualities of the Just Pizza & Pasta franchise is that it offers a simple menu. You won’t see any long menus offering everything under the sun that is vaguely Italian in origin, just what customers really want in a casual dining destination.

That streamlined approach is very advantageous as a business model in so many ways (more on that later), but how does it stack up when it comes to a return on your investment? Is it enough to make serious money?

THE ANSWER IS: ABSOLUTELY, YES, AND THESE LATEST FIGURES PROVE IT

Whenever we at The Franchising Centre start working with a franchise, we carry out a very detailed analysis of everything they can offer to make sure it is a genuinely solid offering, and that very much includes going through the financial details. We want to make sure we are giving potential franchisees a fair and accurate view of what they could be earning.

Those figures weren’t just pulled out of the air – they’re based on real operational figures from the flagship store. However, we have found that we now need to revise them… upward!

JUST PIZZA & PASTA’S TURNOVER HAS SKYROCKETED!

The flagship restaurant on the Isle of Man has smashed through all of the benchmark figures which were true when we set this up. In the last 3 years, they’ve seen some truly epic growth:

2021-2022:+32.3% increase from the previous year

2022-2023: +9.9% increase

2023-2024: +18.6% increase

Of course, the current financial year isn’t over yet but, based on the first 9 months of 2024, the projected full-year sales would be approximately £1,279,810 + VAT. This would represent a +23.7% increase compared to the 2023-2024 full-year sales of £1,034,239 + VAT.

Perhaps even more remarkable is that all of this was achieved with a fairly modest customer base. Douglas, and its surrounding villages, have a population of only around 40,000. Imagine how much you could achieve in a town with 50-80,000 people?

JUST PIZZA & PASTA IS – QUITE LITERALLY – A MILLION POUND IDEA!

Brits love Italian food. According to The Independent, Approximately 7.5 million Brits enjoy a restaurant or take-away meal every week, and around 25% of them opt for Italian food (Source: The Independent). That’s around 1.8 million people looking for great Italian food each week. According to a recent Mintel market report, 65% of Brits either dined in or ordered takeaway from pizza and Italian restaurants.

The demand for good Italian food is clearly huge, and Just Pizza & Pasta’s figures show it is delivering exactly what the public wants.

But there’s even more to this opportunity than that. The simpler menu, and streamlined way in which this business model delivers it, means lower overheads and far less waste. All of which translates into: bigger profit margins!

How successful you are still very much comes down to you, of course, and how much hard work you put into your new business. However, I am sure you can see that the potential is enormous!
